Distinguished Delegates and Guests, Honorable Chairs,
On behalf of the Secretariat, I am honoured to welcome you to Maastricht for the 16th conference of EuroMUN 2024.
As I have the honour to be the Secretary General of EuroMUN 2024, I truly hope that I will witness the magic at the core of any Model United Nations: delegate passionately debating over complex international affairs and yet, enthusiastically coming together and forging long-lasting relationships during coffee/ lunch breaks with likeminded people.
I truly believe that Maastricht’s unique atmosphere during springtime will promote peace, cooperation and diplomacy among all of you.
The conference theme ‘Thriving Futures: Responsible Governance in a Digitalised and Globalised World’ could not be more relevant now. We are the future, we need to be able to design sustainable solutions and we are where changes begin. I am more than confident that with the help of our chairs, you will engage in enriching committee debates that will lead to innovative resolutions.
I eagerly look forward to sharing everything we have planned with you.
