European Central Bank (ECB)
The European Central Bank (ECB) is the central bank of all EU countries using the Euro (€). Hence, compared to other national central banks, the ECB faces the challenge of undertaking monetary policies for twenty different countries. The bank’s tasks range from controlling inflation to supervising banks, or issuing the Euro banknotes. The ECB was founded in 1998 as part of the Economic and Monetary Union, and has its headquarters in Frankfurt, Germany.

Hello, bonjour and goeden dag! I'm Egan and I am concluding my business administration studies at the University of St. Gallen in Switzerland. In my free time, I play the bass guitar, learn new languages and invest myself deeply into internet meme culture, to which I owe most of my humour. Born in Liège, Belgium and growing up in Luxembourg, I will have the chance to complete the BeNeLux triad by pairing up with my dear friend Hugo. Hugo and I are two sides of the same coin, namely the Euro, which we will be proud to represent as chairs of the European Central Bank.
Hugo Kleinjan
Hi there! I feel European through-and-through having lived in eight EU countries and worked at the European Parliament. EuroMUN is a great chance for all of us to pursue our interests in European and global events, and have an amazing time at the socials - like always. Whilst it makes me feel old to say so, April marks my eleventh anniversary since my first MUN conference. Few cities can rival the historical link between itself and the EU, or rival Maastricht's beauty. Egan and I are two sides of the same coin, namely the Euro, which we will be proud to represent as chairs of the European Central Bank.
